The current ISES Vancouver Board of Directors are:

President Diana Hambrook Diana is currently an Independent Special Event Producer. Diana has been an active member of the events industry, planning events both nationally and internationally since 2001. Previously she was the Events Manager at the Burnaby Board of Trade where she organized various events including the Burnaby Business Excellence Awards, the BBOT Golf Tournament, and the Business Creating Business Trade Show. Prior to this Diana lived in Sydney, Australia, where she produced numerous events and organized tours for music artists. President Elect Dwayne Botchar Dwayne has been in the hospitality industry since 1978. Starting in the kitchen his career has spanned almost three decades. Dwayne opened up a pair of highly successful restaurants and a successful catering company in the Ottawa area before deciding to make the move to Vancouver. Dwayne has taken it upon himself to continually educate and improve himself. Apart from cooking for some of the biggest chain hotels in the world, the drive for knowledge has given him the opportunity to work in all aspects of the hospitality and events industry. Dwayne is no stranger to decor. Operating a catering company is no simple task, and more often than not, the client required him to do everything from concept to execution of the entire event! When the opportunity to open up the West Coast office of Chair Decor presented itself, Dwayne couldn't resist. When asked what prompted the departure from food, he said: "It is a great way to build more strengths within the hospitality industry and yet continue to be artistic and creative!" Treasurer Jennifer Drew-Millar Currently working as an event coordinator at McCarthy Tétrault LLP, Canada’s premier national law firm, Jennifer is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario and the postgraduate Public Relations program at Humber College. Solid business judgment and a firm understanding of the marketing mix have helped Jennifer excel in roles at some of Canada’s most prominent consumer-focused organizations over the past ten years. Possessing a strong sense of community responsibility, Jennifer volunteers with the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog program and is a member of the American Marketing Association’s BC chapter. She looks forward to the many industry-related events and professional development opportunities that her new role in ISES will bring, in addition to the opportunity to contribute to the special events industry in Vancouver. VP Communications Martes Farrugia Formally a co-owner of Performance Visual Works, Martes has been a proud member of ISES since 2001 and has already completed a term as an ISES Vancouver board member between 2002 and 2004. VP Membership Denise Dickson Denise Dickson is the President of Create Your Own Events Ltd. She started Create Your Own Events in 1998 and has been a Special Event Producer since 1992. Her company produces events throughout Vancouver, Whistler and the Lower Mainland. Denise consistently applies her insightful, ‘real world’ wisdom to reach beyond the expectations of her clients through the production of high profile events. Her dynamic approach to event planning has helped Create Your Own Events establish a reputation for specialized and dramatic events.
