Former ISES Board
member to head New Culinary Event Planning Team

Culinary Capers Catering has announced the formation of a
new management position dedicated to developing and shaping event and
sales initiatives. Sarah MacKenzie has been promoted from Senior Event
Planner to lead the event planning team as the new Director of Sales
and Events.
"This is a
wonderful opportunity to be an integral part of the next phase of
growth in the successful twenty-one year history of Culinary
Capers," said Sarah MacKenzie about her new position. "I'm
looking forward to the challenge of leading our professional event team
and ensuring our clients will continue to experience outstanding food
and service."

company's next generation of leaders," said Culinary Capers'

Sarah MacKenzie has been an Event Planner with Culinary
Capers since 2000. She has served on the Vancouver Board of the
International Special Events Society and taught an event planning
course at The Art Institute.

2010 Commerce Centre and VANOC
RFEOI
The Vancouver Organizing Committee for
the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games ("VANOC")
released a Request for Expressions of Interest ("RFEOI") for
the supply and installation of temporary, rental-based event equipment
for the 2010 venues.
This RFEOI will close October 12, 2007. It can be found by
"Browsing Business Opportunities" at www.2010CommerceCentre.gov.bc.ca.
Approximately 60 competition and non-competition venues in Whistler and
Greater Vancouver will require overlay services.
To help companies fully understand the opportunity and to encourage the
building of alliances between BC companies, the BC Olympic and
Paralympic Winter Games Secretariat's 2010 Commerce Centre will be
hosting information and networking sessions. VANOC representatives will
be present at these sessions to provide an overview of the procurement
process. (Please note that they will be unable to provide additional
technical information on the required goods, equipment or services at
these sessions. Requests for Proposals issued subsequent to the RFEOI
process will include additional details or technical information.)
Dates for these information sessions have been tentatively set as
follows:

September 7/07, 2 pm - Fencing AND Toilets
September 11/07, 2 pm - Internal Build Out AND Internal Tent Build Out
September 12/07, 2 pm - Landscape & Groundwork AND Turf Protection

September 13/07, 2 pm - Broadcast Lighting & Site Lighting AND
Rigging & Truss
September 18/07, 2 pm - HVAC
September 19/07, 2 pm - Exhibit Equipment
All
information sessions will be held at 800 Robson Street, Vancouver,
BC.

The final touches on events from mid September to June are being
organized now!

of ISES and prolific event producer and author of many event

great series of education events and networking socials for you!
